Eryngium caeruleum |
Eryngium caeruleum Bieb., Apiaceae, is a perennial herb of Kashmir and Western Himalaya, smelling like coriander, is cultivated elsewhere. The leaves are in basal rosettes and the small flowers are borne on much branched inflorescences (Eryngium caeruleum1). The root is a nervine tonic and the ashes of the plant are used to treat haemorrhoids. The plant contains several essential oils and saponins |
